Love at first Swipe
Now a days, meeting someone isn't as easy as it was before. You mingle with friends and the next minute you are dating someone from the inner circle. Even that gets tiring and options are limited.
With social media's high influence in all we do have you ever thought of given dating sites/app a chance? It seems like there is a dating site/app for everyone but most have negative connotations. When you think about the people on dating sites, different thoughts begin to run through your mind. Is she or he a serial killer? What about if he kidnaps me? I really don't have time for this app to entertain anyone. Let's be serious, all of us have heard of the crazy stories on the news. And let's not forget the reaction others give you. Our friends might tell us "Are you crazy? What if he is a psycho, then what?" Well… let's say, not all stories are the same.
Meeting someone for the first time that you met online has to be one of the bravest things to do. You have no idea who she or he may be. What about if this person "catfish" you? No need to worry, it called having uno granos grande. . . and putting yourself out there with precaution. Just make sure to meet in a public place and be aware of your surroundings. And tell a friend! Just in case someone is aware of you and will keep checking in.
On a personal note, now this is a story all about how love got flipped-turned upside down. And I'd like to take a minute. Just sit right there. . . . .
I was always the type of person who was against dating sites until I decided to sign up and give it a try. One week passes by, then we happen to match with each other. Swipe right, swipe right. The excitement and energy drew me in. First conversation I remember telling him to contact my assistant for any meetings with me. He did as so and reached out. A few texts back and forth, we decide to meet.
The first day we met both of us made eye contact right away and it was then, that I knew the night was about to be good!… also his card got declined at the restaurant. (Fraud alert not broke, thank god) Being a trooper I say "Here's $20 towards the bill." Any other girl would had gotten up and left the restaurant, but it was something about him that didn't cause those thoughts to run through my mind. Apparently, we had so many things in common as if I was just having dinner with my best friend. One date converts into multiple dates. Getting to know someone who you meet from a hole in a wall isn't the easiest, but with him.. It was as if we met each other before. And as you know, everyone comes with baggage, but it is up to the person if they want to deal with it or not. We're all adults here now.
As time passes by, it's like we have became inseparable. The more and more I get to know about him, the more time I want to spend with him. He gave me hope in love again. We sit here talking for hours about life and how our love was formed. After meeting him, I truly believe on "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT". What are the odds that you meet someone online and he happens to be one of the greatest things that happened to you. I knew I loved him during one of the our greatest night we had ever spent together across the world. Yes! 2 months after we took our first trip to the world's city of love. It doesn't matter how long you have known someone for some people just give you the vibe of comfort and security that you have been looking for. Certain people come into your life for certain reasons. And you? You are that reason for giving me hope in love again.
I guess fairy tales do come true by viewing a profile and swiping right...
