Getting a read on your vibes..
Vibes, feels, moods, and energy is something we not only create but carry along with us. Everything in our life affects us and this is transmitted into not just the mood you portray through your actions but also through the energy field that surrounds our human body. This layer of our personal space is called "aura," and it comes in various colors that each have meaning. "No matter what color the aura is, each aura is made up of the same number of layers. Each layer will vary in depth and clarity, depending upon the individual. Commonly, seven layers are described - and often can be seen with the naked eye. Some can see up to nine layers, and more layers are possible but have yet to be identified." http://allaurasandchakras.com/aura.htm
But for those like me not trained to see or read the Aura with the naked eye you can get something called an Aura Reading. I had done some research on this a few months back as I was learning about energy work and found out that there are ways to capture your Aura at an given time and get the vibe you are carrying. https://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/16/nyregion/in-chinatown-getting-auras-to-say-cheese.html
Fast forward to this past weekend, I had some free time so I went to the place the NY Times article wrote about. A little shop called Magic Jewelry in Canal Street that offers aura readings. Usually expect a line but I was lucky to walk right in this day and be next up. Walk in, lady instructs you to have a seat in a blue chair that looks like a fancy death row chair. Then you are told to put your hands on metal plates and look at the camera and SNAP! Polaroid style picture is taken and you wait a few minutes for it to develop. A really sweet lady asks you to sit on a stool while she juggles more clients, your picture developing, and an amazing hospital smile. Now time for the reading. I always had a feeling I would get a lot of purple hues but didn't have the insight on what it meant.
Close to me was Indigo... which was explained to me that it meant I do everything from the Crown Chakra. "The crown chakra is the center for trust, devotion, inspiration, happiness, and positivity. It's also the center for deeper connection with ourselves and deeper connection with a force of life that is greater than ourselves." http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-12168/how-to-open-your-crown-chakra-in-3-easy-steps.html
I think too much and my brain is always running for which I should consider Yoga. I am also very open and intuitive. I am highly sensitive and highly emotional and aware of other's feelings. She also mentioned I have many BIG goals and need to take it one day at a time. I need to tackle my dream in steps as I tend to let go of big goals.
In addition, she spoke about the pink in my aura and how I have this long to find love. That I make it a big deal and that it is consuming. She said until I deal with the trauma it has caused me I won't be able to move on. I need to ask myself what is it that hurt me and I need to conquer that. My aura took most of the area of the picture and she said this means I have a lot of energy.
When I got home I did further research and was able to read deeper into the image.
- Pink: You're a loving person. Pink indicates an artist, a sensual person who appreciates the finer things in life. If you've recently fallen in love, you'll have a significant amount of pink in your aura. Psychically gifted people also have pink auras.
- Royal blue: This means you are a highly developed spiritual intuitive or clairvoyant. You have a very generous and giving spirit, and you are always open to new possibilities.
- Violet: You are a visionary of the highest level. You're someone who can daydream and change the world with spiritual love.
- Indigo: You get glimpses into other worlds and are a wise seeker. http://paranormal.lovetoknow.com/Aura_Colors_and_Their_Meaning
This experience cost me $21.63 and it was a dope insightful way to learn where you are in life and your spiritual journey. I recommend it as a girl's brunch and Aura Readings kind of day or a date with your significant other so you can share your readings. Or like I did, a nice Saturday afternoon alone.
Since my reading I have been doing a lot of self reflection and working on these call outs. I plan to visit again in a few months and see if anything chagnes.
